Description
This 2 Cylinder 16 Hp Lister 16-2 imported as a special order from the UK in approximately1984 is in as new condition. It has not been run since leaving the factory in England and has been stored under cover since delivery for the past 38 years. It was originally purchased to provide 240 Volt power to Tongo Station in far-west NSW however it was never installed due to the arrival of mains power to the district. The tank cooled 16 Hp diesel drives a 1 phase Brush generator by belt and includes electric start option. The flywheel moves freely however given the duration of storage, I would remove the cylinder heads and inspect as a precaution before servicing and running the engine. This engine is probably the only new example in existence and it would suit a collector or use as a backup generator in an off-grid power system with a bit of style which is what I will use it for if it doesn't sell!
