German Machinery specialist Horsch's play on solutions for weeds post Glyphosate

German farm machinery specialist, Horsch, is looking ahead to when farmers will no longer be able to use glyphosate weed killer with what it calls its 'hybrid farming system'.

The HORSCH harrow Cura ST is one of the central solutions for hybrid farming and for organic farming. It excels due to its precise mode of operation and an extremely solid design. The Cura ST will be launched as a 3-point version with working widths ranging from 6 to 15 m.

The 6-bar design allows for a tine spacing of 2.8 cm for working intensely on clean soils and soils with a lot of weeds etc.

The support pressure of the harrow tines is continuously hydraulically adjustable. Every harrow tine can be charged with a pressure ranging from 500 to 5000 g and maintains almost the same forces for the whole spring deflexion. Moreover, every tine is fastened individually and efficiently secured against being pushed to the side. This guarantees highest precision for the work result.

The HORSCH Cura ST, thus, is well prepared for any type of soil and conditions. The large load range of the harrow tine allows for working conservatively and also very aggressively – depending on the objective. Contours, e.g. potato ridges, too, can be cultivated without any problems.
