Will history repeat itself this time? - We wrote a daily a few months ago called "Shoulda Woulda Coulda". Take a read here. It's about buying Land and those opportunities that we may have missed when that block of Land was say $600/acre 20 years ago, and today it's $6000/acre. 

I bet there's not a Farmer, let alone an economist, who would have predicted such a rise in that time period. And at the time, we would have thought $600 was expensive. There would have been a Farmer that bought that block of Land. They probably thought they overextended themselves too, but today, they would be super pleased with the outcome. 

However, I am a great believer in living without regret and putting it down to, only being able to do what you can do at the time. 

But what can we learn from this lesson in accumulation? So assessing things today, do we see the same opportunity in buying Land now and having it double or triple in, say 10 years from now? Do we pay overs for the block next door and put our business at risk knowing that things are going to rise and everything will be fine? I am a great believer in history repeating itself, but will it be the same this time? Who knows....
