See the link to last week's Hay Report here.

It's been flat chat for the last week with many Farmers grabbing last-minute things with the winter Cropping program that's well underway.

I know we keep banging on about it, but if you have something to list, please get it out there because it's a great time to sell. Taking a trip around the Farm and identifying what you don't need, and listing it can offset some of the higher input costs we are now experiencing. Give one of the guys a call to discuss listing items. We are here to help.

I flew into Melbourne from Sydney on Monday, and we flew over the Port of Melbourne, I was amazed to see how bare the place was. Usually, it's chock full of containers and new vehicles. There was a distinct lack of both. We have seen disrupted supply chains over the last 2 years, and it looks like it might continue.

The overall selling trends for the last 7 days included Tractors again, Boomsprays, Vetch Hay, Vetch Seed, Oaten Hay, Air Seeders, Livestock Feeding Equipment, Grain Cleaners, Pick-up Fronts, Prime Movers, MAP, and DAP.

We are selling a few Headers and Header Fronts at the moment and the guys seem to think that the buying activity will start to increase soon.

Seed has been a popular seller with Popany Vetch selling for $1400 a tonne, conventional Vetch is selling for $700 to $715 a tonne, Wheat Seed sold for up to $450 a tonne, some Oat Seed got up to $700 a tonne, Italian Rye Grass Seed sold for $2.80 a kg, and Soft Leaf Cocksfoot making $8 a kg

On the Grain front, Lupins pushed up to $500 a tonne, and BAR1 is selling for $300 a tonne.

All prices are Ex Farm.

This is what the sales guys said happened this week:

Shane said - The last week has been mayhem with heaps of enquiries and sales right across the board. Last-minute Seed purchases along with Press Wheel assemblies and the odd Combine and Airseeder selling also.

We are starting to see a few more Headers and Fronts being hit on, and if the rain keeps falling and the excellent growing conditions continue, we will see more of this in the coming months.

Paul said - This past week has seen more moisture hitting the profile, putting the brakes on quite a few Cropping regimes. We are still seeing Machinery moving well and more Hay and Straw being secured.

We are also starting to see some Hay Gear being looked at. It will be interesting to see what happens this coming year with the Hay job as priority for Hay Crops might have dropped down the list a bit off the back of the last few years.

Mike said - Tractors are still very popular, and Livestock Handling/Feeding Equipment is selling well.

Seed inquiries are slowing down due to the fact that everyone is up and running now.

Demand for Hay is starting to lift as some places are a Tad on the dry side.

A couple of weeks of no rain across the Darling Downs has enabled people to get started up here, so Cropping is in full swing.

Keep those listings coming and see what else sold here.

End of message.
