We will have a new Hay Report out next week as they are done fortnightly. Check out last week's here.
We had a record week for sales with an even contribution from the Farm Tender, Auctions and PAC teams. The main selling categories were Machinery & Equipment and Urea. Well done to all.
We are putting down the increase in numbers to a couple of things, more listings (up 84% in $$ value for July compared to July last year) and more unique viewers to the site (33% up for the previous 30 days compared to the 30 days of June).
It's great to be able to get a result for more people each day. That's what makes the flywheel speed up. It creates momentum and makes it more interesting.
Keep an eye out for our Themed Auctions which will always be the first Auction of each month. Included in the Themed Auctions will be things like Utes, Sheep Handling Equipment, Headers, Balers, etc. Get the drift?
The first one in September will be a Trucks & Trailers Auction. For the October one, it will be Headers. If you want to participate, give Jim a ring on 0481 102 288.
The overall trends for the 7 days just gone include SP Windrowers, Urea, Lucerne Hay, Sheep Handling Equipment, Vetch Hay, Field Bins, Straw, Aussie White Ewes, Silos, Kelpie Pups, Spreaders, and Feed Oats.

This is what the sales guys said happened this week:
Shane said - With some good rains in Southern NSW and Victoria recently, we are seeing a rise in Machinery enquires. Headers, Windrowers, Fronts, along with Tractors, are getting plenty of hits and are highly sort after, with new stuff being hard to source currently.
Hay gear has made a comeback lately, and we are seeing more enquires and sales with the season looking ok as long as the rain holds off while Baling. And to a lesser extent, Livestock items are also moving along well with a few Sheep Handlers, Feeders and Drafters selling in the last week.
Paul said - It seems the last week has seen more quick-fire sales with Chaser Bins, Tipping Trailers, Flat Top Trailers and Header Fronts all selling within 24 hours of being listed. With a healthy Harvest on the horizon (if you are not too wet), these hot items are only going to become hotter.
If you are looking for a specific item and don't want to miss out, you should look at setting up a notification on your phone that will alert you to a new listing in your desired category. This could be the difference between being first in the que or last. Quite often, with any hot item, if you're not first, your last! If you need a hand setting up notifications call one of the sales team to assist you.
Mike said - Some good sales happening throughout the last week ranging from Tractors through to Windrowers, Livestock Feeding Equipment and Livestock Handling gear. There is some good interest in Harvesting equipment with some good inspections currently happening.
Chaser bins are still scarce, and when they're listed, they are extremely popular.

Keep those listings coming and see what else sold here.
End of message.
