One Farmer mentioned to me the other day that it was the most expensive Crop he has ever planted. This guy knows his numbers, and he knows the breakeven bar has been set higher, so the pressure is on. On a good note, their Central Victorian Farm is off to a near-perfect start, so it's all looking positive at this stage.

The whole Agriculture industry is on red alert with the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease in Bali. It's a real concern, and there are calls to ban any non-essential travel to Bali by Australians. Governments put people into lockdown. Surely, they could stop people from going to Bali if they wanted to.

As far as sales go, it was quieter in the lead-up to the new financial year and the same for the week after.

Hay sales were solid, with Oaten and Cereal Hay being the most traded. We reckon the price went up slightly as well. Read this week's Hay Report here.

The overall trends list was a little thinner than usual, with Oaten Hay, Silage Rolls, Stockcrates, Tyres, Disc Chains, Tractors, Urea, Combines and Working Dogs being the most traded items.

We kicked off our Toyota Hilux beaut Ute giveaway, and it's leading to some goo listings. Click here for more info and keep those listings coming.

On the Grain front, we sold Barley for $370, $375 and $400 a tonne. Beans for $475 a tonne and Feed Oats for $220 a tonne.

All prices are ex Farm.

This is what the sales guys said happened this week:

Shane said - We are seeing a lot of enquiry on Seeding Equipment over the past week with everyone trying to get in early before the rush and also the issue with buying new. Also noticed a lot more listings coming on with the New Financial Year here and the opportunity to win a Hilux.

Paul said - With the New Financial year upon us, We are still seeing plenty of quality items being listed on the website. Whilst pricing has seemed to come back to somewhat of a more realistic area. There are plenty of buyers out there looking to upgrade/diversify their current practices and programs.

With the chance to win a Brand New HILUX UTE we are also seeing some quality listing's being posted on a daily basis. Someone will win it, so you may as well throw your hat in the ring! Good Luck!

Mike said - Well, more rain has fallen across Queensland and Northern New South Wales, where falls of 20 to 100 mm have fallen.

Low-houred Tractors are still selling well. Kelly Chains seem to be popular at the moment with a good sale yesterday and more inquiry on another one.

Smaller Tractors are reasonably popular, especially if they have a Front End Loader. Slashers are also popular at the present time.

Keep those listings coming and see what else sold here.

End of message.
