Numbers slipped moderately. The market fluctuated across all categories, with a key supermarket not operating and another only on well-shaped shorter skin types. Buyers were extremely selective and gave premium prices only for the odd trade pen. There was a good line up of heavy export lambs and however buyers only bidded to a price before walking away.
Trade competition was sporadic and prices fluctuated around quality. Trade lambs 21kg to 24kg eased $5 making from $151 to $181. Lambs 25kg to 26kg sold $14 cheaper with few buyers interested in this category the bulk selling from $151 to $181.
In the heavy export market competition was quite subdued. The bulk of the heavy export lambs sold $10 to $15/head cheaper. Lambs 26kg to 30kg sold at $177 to $209/head. Over the 30kg made from $205 to $248/head.
