Legal Cocaine for Farmers - We call Urea Farmer's cocaine. Just when you think you've had enough, you need more. And now it has rained in some Grain Growing areas, Urea is once again back in demand. 

The Fertiliser market, in general, is not a very transparent one. There is a lot of secrecy out there and a lot of disconnect in the market. In other words, it's really hard to get a read of the situation, and nobody really trusts the information. Farmer's think the market tells porkies. 

And from what the market is telling us, current supplies are tight. Frustrated Farmers are scrambling to get, and if they don't get, the cat get's a kick. Farmers get frustrated with the industry, but also the industry gets frustrated with Farmers. Because there is no trust, most Farmers will always buy at the last minute, and because Urea is related to rainfall, nobody knows how much supply is needed. And it's not like we are brewing volumes of our own here. It takes many weeks to get a shipload out here.

But for those that do conventional Cropping, it's an essential ingredient, and who knows how much bottom line it provides for Farmers in any season that's average and above. So the whole Fertiliser industry is a frustrating one for all players. How can we make it better?
