Lamb numbers increased with 13,232 yarded, quality was again excellent over the heavy export and trade weights presented off supplementary feed. The quality dropped away for the remainder plainer secondary types. Not all the usual buying group attended in a cheaper market across the yarding. Light lambs sold $5 to $10 softer, medium trade were to $10 cheaper and heavy trade sold to $6 cheaper, however the odd lots and secondary lambs in plain skins were heavily discounted and in places sold to $20/head cheaper. Heavy export sold to a top of $173 and were to $8/head Softer.

Lambs back to the paddock selling from $28 to $107/head. Lambs to the trade to suit MK orders under 18kg sold from $45 to $97, to average 360c to 420c/kg cwt. Lambs 18-22kg, sold from $75 to $120, Lambs 22-24kg, made from $102 to $138, Lambs 24-26kg made from $112 to $150/head, to average 430c to 510c/kg cwt. Export 26 to 30kg sold from $133 to $162 and 30kg and over made $152 to $173/head, averaging 470c to 490c/kg cwt.

Sheep numbers were similar with 2,800, the market similar to a week ago with sales either side of firm in places, with a small field of buyers on the rail. Merino wethers made from $39 to $75, slipped $6/head, Merino ewes $27 to $68, mostly firm and heavy crossbred mutton from $52 to $85/ gaining $5/head.
