I'll see you in the Sheepyards... - I saw a funny line the other day. It went like this.... "Before you marry or partner with someone, work stock with them to see who they really are". Credit, Inspire Ag - Sally Murfet.

It's as funny as it is serious. I mean, many of us have been known to lose our shit when working stock, and many of us wouldn't be super proud of some of those moments. I am sure most who get frustrated working stock are quite mild-mannered at other times. I mean, it's not only the Sheep or Cattle, but it can be the Dogs also. It can be a frustrating job.

I remember when my wife Paula moved to the Farm at Marnoo many moons ago, our neighbour Margie Duxson told her, "if you're helping out with the Sheep work and they start talking to you like the Sheep Dog, go home and don't return. That's what I told Norman (her husband)," She said. What a classic.

I can just see now a future husband or wife when popping the big question saying. "Before I commit, I'll see you in the Sheepyards." It's the new test.
