Lamb supply eased to 33,533, quality remained similar to a week ago, with a ranged from plain to very good. all the usual buying group attended and more buyers were active in a stronger market. Competition was strong over all categories, light store and processing lambs sold to $8 to $14 dearer with processors mostly outbidding the store buyers. Medium trade sold to $10 to $18 dearer. Heavy trade and heavy export weight lambs gaining the most interest with bidding competition becoming electric at times, with sales reaching to 750c/kg cwt in places throughout the yarding. Heavy trade sold to $20 dearer and Export lambs made to a top of $219/head to be $20 to $30 stronger.

Lambs back to the paddock made $44 to $101/head. Light lambs to the trade to suit MK orders, sold from $54 to $105/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg sold from $96 to $144, Lambs 22 to 26kg made from $124 to $191/head, with a range of 560c to 660c/kg with sales reaching to 750c/kg cwt. Export lambs over 26kg sold from $164 to $219/head, averaging between 630c to 660c/kg cwt. Old lambs and hoggets were in limited supply but sold $15 to $25/head stronger.

Sheep numbers increased to 14,749, quality ranged from plain to very good. All the usual buying group were present and operating in a dearer market across the yarding. Merino wethers selling between $48 to $100, gaining $15 to $30/head. Merino ewes made from $44 to $89 to be $10 to $20/head dearer. Heavy Crossbred ewes sold from $48 to $87, selling to $15/head stronger and heavy crossbred wethers sold from $40 to $68/head. The lightweight mutton made from $36 to $48, selling to $10/head better.
