Ahhh the Weather forecaster - Farmer's love weather forecasts because they live and die by what the weather gods serve up. And so many decisions are made on the forecast because when it's raining, the opportunity might have passed. Examples would be Spraying, Shearing or Spreading Urea (this one is topical right now).
Most Farmer's went into 2023 with "dry" tattooed to the inside of their eyeballs. Dry means hold back, and they did, but then it started (it's just started for some), and they thought, hold on, this might turn out alright. And really, you can be conservative as you like, but Farmers need to Farm to produce because if you don't, you won't be Farming for long.
But getting back to the forecasters, I'm interested in what/who you guys use. We will leave the BOM (still called that, I think) alone because they are in a bit of damage control right now.
It might be a website that tickles your fancy, or it might be someone you follow or subscribe to. I mean, how many paid up for old mate AV Weather in his day? Before that, I think it was Ian Holton, and some followed New Zealander Ken Ring as well. It's interesting to watch them come and go, and I'm guessing that people go because they don't get enough right. And we know how much Farmer's love subscription models, not.... So what weather forecasts or forecasters do you follow, and are they free, or do you pay a fee?
