Lamb numbers decreased again with 11,157 penned. Heavy export lambs and some trade lambs off supplementary feed presenting in excellent condition, with limited numbers offered. Trade and store lambs ranged from plain to very good with limited numbers in all categories. Not a full field of buyers were present, the market started a bit slow but gained bidding intensity quickly as buyers become more active in all weights and grades ending dearer to a week ago. More store buyers were present and active today with light store and trade lambs $10 to $15 dearer, medium trade to $10 better and heavy trade from $5 to $9/head stronger and heavy export sold to a top of $189 to be $10 to $20 dearer. Across the yarding, heavy lambs averaged from 480c to 560c and medium and lighter weights from 390c to 514c/kg cwt.

Lambs back to the paddock selling from $32 to $127/head. Lambs to the trade to suit MK orders under 18kg sold from $44 to $100, Lambs 18-22kg, sold from $80 to $128, Lambs 22-24kg, sold from $120 to $148, Lambs 24-26kg made from $128 to $150/head. Export 26 to 30kg sold from $133 to $162 and 30kg and over made $158 to $189/head.

Sheep numbers dropped to 2,500, with very few buyers on the rail, the market was again softer to $20/head in places. Heavy Merino wethers made from $57 to $86, Merino ewes $22 to $70 and heavy crossbred mutton from $53 to $80/head.
