It is evident that most country folk prefer to buy brand names when it comes to farm machinery with the expectation of quality, service and reliability. Being from the country myself I totally understand the country style of thinking, therefore I can only give my reassurance of quality of our water pumps and other machinery. The usual life expectancy of these generic Yanmar copy engines ranges between 1000-2000 hours, however after seeing laboratory tests of oil samples I have found that 50 hour oil changes proved to be a winner with the test results showing minimal contaminants and some engines exceeding 4000 hours.
Our pump mechanical seals have a 100% strike rate in the 18 months I have been with this company with no failures whatsoever. I will not talk up a product until I've sold them for 12 months, which now gives me the confidence to reassure customers they will buy a good quality product from us. Along with the 50 hour oil changes, a re-torque of the cylinder head after a few hours use will guarantee no issues of blowing head gaskets. I've sold these pumps to many farmers and they are all still out in the field filling cattle troughs daily and irrigating plantations.
