Melon Packing Line

2011 Durand-Wayland melon grading line.

Brought over new from USA 2011. Excellent condition and has always been under cover- only been utilised for two seasons.
Packing line process: -
Melons are harvested into plastic bins, placed on to a conveyor consisting of a bin tipper, 3 bins height, 3 rows, the bin tipper will automatically de stacked the bins, whilst 1 bin at a time is tipped onto the packing line. The melons slowly tip out and are washed if required, then brushed and cleaned, the melons then pass on a single lane and are weighed individually and pushed off into their correct packing lane (which is determined by your customer’s needs).Once the bins have been emptied the bins are re stacked automatically 3 high.

Includes automation with two control boxes, hydraulic motor and pump, 1 compressor to manage grading, load cell for weight sizing, each electric motor are fitted with isolation plugs, fitted with safety guards and heavy duty gear boxes and drive components.
The bin tipper components can be utilised for several different produce lines.
This technology will enable you to deliver a clean graded product that is consistent, uniform and offers flexibility with sizing.
