We have a gorgeous 1 and a 1/2 year old girl who, with a heavy heart, I'm going to have to give her away to the right person. She is not de-sexed yet, however we are happy to have her de-sexed before we give her away. We were sold her as 3/4 Retriever and 1/4 Maremma, however she is very much a Maremma!! She loves my husband and me but is aloof with strangers until she gets to know them. She was crate trained when she was a pup and still loves her crate - we don't put her in it now but leave the gate open and she now wanders in and out and will have a sleep in there of her own accord. She's good with other dogs - My son brings his male chocolate lab to our house, and she loves him. She also loves hanging out with a friend's retriever. She has been with our 7- & 9-year-old grandchildren and is good with them but given that she is so big and bouncy I wouldn't leave a toddler with her! The reason we are going to have to part with her is that she barks at everyone who walks past our house and our Neighbours are complaining. I definitely think she would be better on a property where there are not people walking past all the time. She hasn't been with livestock or chooks, but I've noticed that she isn't bothered by birds feeding out of her bowl!! She loves running around in open spaces, but equally likes being inside the house (which I'm sure she thinks she owns!). She is up to date with her vaccinations etc and has been microchipped. please inbox me if you are interested in her.
