Gallagher 3-Way Sheep Auto Drafter in exceptional near-new condition, complete with Gallagher TSi2 touchscreen livestock manager, BR Series SmartReader EID/tag reader and integrated weighing system.

Purchased brand new and has only had approximately 15 sheep through it to test the system and familiarise ourselves with its operation. It has never been put into normal farm use and has been stored under cover in the shed for its entire life.

We recently set the complete system up and tested it. Touchscreen, scales, EID reader and drafting system are all operating.

Selling because we’ve realised this is equipment we’re likely to need later rather than now, and it makes more sense for it to go to someone who can put it to work.

The system allows sheep to be electronically identified, weighed and automatically drafted according to criteria set in the controller, substantially reducing the labour involved in weighing and sorting mobs.

The TSi2 provides animal records, weighing sessions, drafting setup, traits, activities, pedigree and other livestock-management functions, while the BR SmartReader automatically reads compatible EID tags as sheep move through the drafter.

Upgradeable to current Gallagher technology

The included TSi2 and BR reader are fully operational, however the drafter can also be paired with Gallagher’s newer generation of touchscreen weigh-scale/data collectors, including the TW-3, providing an upgrade path to Gallagher’s current Animal Performance software ecosystem and modern Wi-Fi/mobile data management.

This means the buyer can use the complete system exactly as it is now and upgrade the electronics in future if desired.

For comparison, the current Gallagher Sheep Auto Drafter alone has an RRP of approximately $23,900, before adding the associated weighing/data-management equipment.

Given the extremely limited use and the fact it has spent its entire life stored inside, this is an opportunity to purchase a very lightly used complete Gallagher drafting, weighing and EID setup at substantially below the cost of replacing the equivalent system today.
