The Mallee Field Day as Speed in Victoria is a unique event. It's starts today and finished tomorrow
Having been to many field days, they are all different and all have good points and bad.
The Mallee event has alot of atmosphere and the Farmers over this way are very humble and approachable but serious business people.
The Mallee is an opportunistic place to Farm and there is a line drawn in the sand come field day time. In other words, the natives here know if the season is going to be a good or not so good one by this time of the year.
Mallee people are pretty positive people and they know they are going to have some lesser seasons mixed in with some good ones and they prepare for the knocks they know they are going to get.
This is the place to come and see all the really big machinery
Last but not least, one of the most unique things is it's circled lay out, yes you literally walk around in circles. Come and say g'day to the Farm Tender team at site 45.
