Rain Simulator on show at Vic no-till conference

The Victorian No-Till Farmers Association will showcase a rainfall simulator at its annual conference on the 13th and 14th of July at Moama, NSW.

The simulator demonstrates the impact of 50 millimetres of rain on soils under five different management practices. They include conventional farming, minimum till, retained stubble, systems that uses a stripper front and one involving Cattle

George Davis from Kansas, USA will oversee the demonstration.

Kerry Grigg, the association's executive officer, said they were excited to bring the simulator to Australia for the first time. He said it's a really simple way to demonstrate what we advocate strongly.
