Incitec Pivot urges Grain Growers to beat the rush

Bulk quantities of planting fertilisers are in stock and ready for despatch at Incitec Pivot’s facilities across southern Australia.

Nicole de Courcy Cann, Incitec Pivot Fertilisers’ Broadacre Marketing Manager, says growers typically pick up MAP, DAP, Granulock Z and Granulock SS in March and April, around the time of the autumn break.

“At this time, we often see peaks in daily demand that can result in delays for customers, particularly if there’s widespread and significant rain expected,” she said.

Ms de Courcy Cann suggested picking up fertiliser as a back load after a grain delivery, improving the efficiency of transport.

“If growers are bringing grain to port, that’s a good opportunity to come in to Incitec Pivot Fertilisers and pick up a load of Granulock for the 2018 crop,” she said.

“As well as saving time, growers will be better prepared for the season, particularly if there’s an early break.

“Incitec Pivot Fertilisers’ high quality fertilisers like Granulock and MAP have good storage characteristics and can be stored for an extended period in most on-farm storage facilities.”

She confirmed that a range of quality fertilisers including Granulock Z, Granulock SS, MAP, DAP and urea are now available at Incitec Pivot Fertilisers’ facilities.

“We also have an extensive shipping program planned to ensure new stocks of fertilisers arrive in a timely manner,” she said.

“Incitec Pivot Fertilisers is looking forward to a strong cropping season and we want to help growers to plant on time with their preferred fertilisers.

“We urge growers to beat the rush by taking early delivery of their cropping fertilisers.”
