A strong rain band across NSW and Victoria overnight has had a two fold effect.
Firstly we just want to say that there are those in drought areas that are doing it tough who got no rain and we feel for them
The two fold effect was there were many Farmer desperate and they got that much needed reprieve. The second effect was that Farmers that are lucky enough to be looking pretty good got that season defining drink that will hold them in good stead leading into the spring. These Farmers have good looking crops and pastures and they will look even better now but are still not over the line.
The Central West of NSW received between 12 to 30mm, Riverina 12-25mm, Victoria's Mallee got 15-25mm, and the Northern Country got between 11-22mm. Other areas Slopes areas of NSW got around the inch and the Hunter Valley got some much need rain with 20mm being the top.
