Elders opens a new satellite branch at Walla Walla, NSW

Elders this week opened a satellite location to the Albury branch in Walla Walla, to bring greater support to the local district and provide clients with better access to products and services.

With the closest branch in the area located 39kms north at Albury, the new branch is an extension of the national Elders network designed to ensure the high level of customer service is more accessible to the greater community of Walla Walla, Culcairn and Walbundrie.

The team warmed the new premises with an event last week, hosting over one hundred clients for a BBQ and opening speeches. Zone farm supplies manager for the South, Paul Minahan, says that it was clear the strong attendance was a show of appreciation and support for the team.

“I was very proud to represent Elders staff and management and stand in front of the clients that attended the Walla Walla store opening,” says Mr Minahan.

“To attend the opening of a new store being welcomed into the local community is a particularly heart-warming experience, a true statement that Elders is back and for the right reasons.”

Area manager, Lachlan Boyd, says that the opening reflected the period of growth that Elders are embarking on in the area and nationally, extending the national footprint to better serve the changing needs of clients and the agribusiness industry.

“I’ve been continually impressed with the way that the team has managed this process over the last few months – the hard work put in represents the commitment of the team to listen to their clients and give them a local option in their rural community,” says Mr Boyd.

The event opening received a high level of positive feedback from clients who will now have access to a wide range of services, including farm supplies, agronomy, livestock, wool, finance and insurance, making it another important additional servicing touchpoint for the agricultural services offering in NSW.

Tony Killalea, branch manager – Albury, says that the great response from the community was an excellent encouragement for the hardworking team.

“Great work gets great results and what has been done in Walla Walla has been reflected by the support we have received from our client base.”

“I’m encouraged by all of the unsolicited positive comments we have received about our move, and I’m looking forward to seeing us go from strength to strength in the district.”
