Cotton Growers most connected

According to the CSIRO and the University of New England research group Cotton Growers and the most "connected" to Agtech and technologies.
40 percent of Cotton Growers are connected mobile data, Horticulture came in next with 30 percent, followed by Aquaculture with 24 percent. Poultry Farmers were 17 percent connected and Sheep, Beef, Grain and Sugarcane Farmers came in between the 10-20 percent connected.
Meat and Livestock Digital strategy and business development manager Sam Gill made a good point saying the more intensive industries like Cotton and Horticulture relied more on water and therefore had a higher use of on-farm sensors which relied on digital connectivity.
