BestWool/BestLamb and BetterBeef combined for two day bonanza in Bendigo

Agriculture Victoria's BestWool/BestLamb and BetterBeef Networks have joined forces for the first time to create a combined livestock industry conference to run over 26 and 27 June in Bendigo.

Agriculture Victoria Meat and Wool Program Manager Kate Linden said combining the BestWool/BestLamb and BetterBeef annual conferences will allow livestock producers, students and service providers to access a great range of information and networks in one spot.

An intensive two-day program of presenters on the latest industry developments, research and hot topics has been arranged.

Highlights from the BetterBeef program include marketing cattle in a digital world, using merit testing to select the right pasture for your environment and the future of objective carcass measurement for yield and quality.

The BestWool/BestLamb program includes presentations on lamb survival, the latest learnings on Barbers pole worm, and the intriguing 'fitbits for farm animals'.

Tickets to the joint conference dinner on Tuesday night (26 June) at the historic Ulumburra Theatre in Bendigo are selling fast.

Celebrity chef Adrian Richardson will provide great entertainment as he prepares and talks about the main course, featuring prime lamb and beef.

Richardson, co-host of Ten's Good Chef Bad Chef, host of Boys Weekend and Foxtel's Secret Meat Business owns North Carlton restaurant La Luna and is a renowned meat and offal chef.

Information on registration, tickets, prices and full details of the BetterBeef (26 June) and BestWool/Bestlamb (27 June) is now available in the conference program.
