Yes No No Yes Yes No Yes No Yes Stuff Up - We don't get too political in this column, and this post isn't a political one. Some might assume it to be, but that's not my intention. And I am not saying for you to vote yes or no. I just think you shouldn't have to do either. Why do we put so much time and effort into getting better as a human race, and then we go and set ourselves back by asking people to take sides?

I think over the last decade, we have made some really good incremental progress about being more united and accepting of each other. I just think that this yes-no vote will divide the community and put us back 10 years, maybe more.

I mean, the yes voters are already labelling the no voters as racist. That will stick beyond Saturday. And the no voters now know who the yes voters are because it's plastered on their front fence or in the window of their businesses. That will stick with people also. Our memories are good.

Question, and I might be out of order here, but why is old mate, who got elected to run the country (for all of us), putting on a two-horse race and backing one of them? I will reluctantly vote on Saturday. Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
