What the learnings were -- Now the dust has settled on our FarmTender2023 event, we are now planning for the 2024 version. See the link here for the date, location etc. We will be running this one in the brand new Woolshed at our Family Farm (Glendemar) near Marnoo in Western Victoria. In 2025 we will look to take it interstate, probably into New South Wales.

We have had some amazing feedback (and are very appreciative of it), and we are very much looking forward to rolling out a fresh lineup of speakers and content in 2024.

So what did we learn from our first event? That the model works. Get relevant people that put their vested interests aside to deliver material that can inspire or help people improve themselves, their Farms and their businesses. The no-sponsor idea worked well because we didn't have to give air time to anyone we didn't feel would deliver any relevance. Having the event not about us (Farm Tender) was well received.

So what did I learn? That Farmers sign up to stuff at the last minute. I had moments where I would lie awake in bed, wondering whether anyone would buy a ticket. I was as nervous and worried as I have ever been about it being a non-event. I also questioned myself as to whether I was up to being the MC/interviewer. I am confident we can do it now, however, I'm not complacent though. It won't just happen. Having this one in the Woolshed will add another level of complexity.
