The Hay market is finding a way. Read all about it in the latest Hay Report here. Hot off the keyboards last night.

It's Hilux week, and someone will be lucky enough to take a new Toyota Hilux home on Friday. Good luck.

There's enough going on, but it's not crazily busy, and that's what we expect when the Harvest period gets fully into gear.

We see the wheel turning into more of a buyer's market for things as opposed to a seller's market, which we saw in the many months leading into Harvest. It's just a reminder to us how quickly sentiment can change in Agriculture. We only have to look at how unloved the Sheep and Lamb markets it right now. Who would have thought with plenty of grass around, there could be such limited demand from restockers?

We talk about confidence a lot through our newsletters and reports. The rapid information flow in Ag these days causes confidence to shift really quickly between high and low. You can be king one day and begging on the street the next. It's a really good reminder to stay confident in what we do, but never get too far ahead of that. Ag has a way of bringing us back to earth when we sorta didn't expect it.

The overall trends for the week just gone include Chaser Bins, Tray Truck, Beans, Augers, Sheep Handlers, Lucerne Hay, Silos, Bunker Tarps, Grain Bag Inloaders, Hay Tarps and Barley.

As for Grain, we sold a nice parcel of Barley for $305 a tonne, Beans for $350 a tonne and Sorghum Seed for $3.75 a kg.

This is what the sales guys said happened this week:

Shane said - Still noticing a few Fronts being brought with some Farmers just getting into the Grain Harvest down south. We are also seeing Tray Trucks moving along with Disc Seeders and Silos with storage at a premium. Keep listing and buying, and good luck to those that are in the Toyota Hilux draw this Friday.

Paul said - This past week has seen most with their head down and bums up getting stuck right into Harvest. There has still been some enquiry on Harvest-related Machinery, and we are also starting to see some enquiries on Cropping Gear with a couple of nice Airseeders being sold. We could see a rather short break between Harvest and Cropping this year, so I think people are trying to get on the front foot.

Mike said - As per last week, it's all about Harvest and Hay. Grain Storage, Cartage, etc, are all popular. Livestock Handling Equipment is always sort after, and if it's priced right, it will sell. Smaller Farm Trucks always sell well. Some Farmers are looking towards Summer Crops and looking at purchasing Seed to have another go at possibly making Hay throughout the summer months.

Keep those listings coming and see what else sold here.
