Lamb supply increased to 27,250 yarded of mixed quality ranging from plain to very good. All the usual buying group attended and were active, all though selective on the lambs in wool needing finish selling $5 to $10/head cheaper. The neat shorn lambs with good finish or ready to feed on sold well ending a few dollars either side of firm. Light trade lambs sold firm to $3 stronger, medium trade were firm to slightly softer and heavy trade were firm to $5/head cheaper in places. Export lambs sold well to be mostly firm to top $284/head.

Store buyers were active, with lambs back to the paddock and to feed on sold from $60 to $217 to be $5/head stronger in places. Light lambs under 18kg cwt to suit MK orders to the trade sold from $138 to $150/head. Trade 18 to 22kg made from $168 to $203, lambs 22 to 24kg sold from $190 to $215, lambs 24kg to 26kg $210 to $234/head, with an average range of 840c to 870c/kg cwt. Export lambs over 26 to 30kg made from $227 to $277 and over 30kg sold from $264 to $284/head with an average range of 830c to 850c/kg cwt.

Sheep numbers also increased to 9,535 yarded, quality was mixed. Most of the usual buyers were present, and all active in the market. Overall, the market was $8 to $15/head cheaper to a week ago. Heavy Merino wethers were in limited numbers, made from $160 to $173/head, to average 580c/kg cwt. Heavy Merino ewes sold from $118 to $170 to average 550c to 580c and heavy crossbred mutton made $139 to $191/head, to average 540c to 560c/kg cwt.
