There was a man from Horsham..... --- Some of you might know the rhyme, but we won't go there... Paula and I stayed in Horsham on our way to Adelaide from Central Victoria on Sunday night. As we do when away, we ventured out for an early morning coffee and was impressed by how clean the streets were. 

There was plenty of early morning action with people emptying street bins, a contractor cleaning the street bins, then there were a couple of people picking up any loose rubbish items, the street sweepers were active, and some shopkeepers were washing windows and mopping floors. All impressive stuff. 

The Park spaces were all green with nice lawns, and the Wimmera River area (a huge asset) was looking great. 

Horsham is a destination place for retired and semi-retired Wimmera Farmers. I even know of some active Farmers who live in town and commute to the Farm every day. As a community, you need a decent level of commitment and effort to attract people to town, and Horsham has obviously worked that out...
