The Livestock Superfood - We haven't ever grown a lot of Corn or Maize in this country, but like, say, Rice, and after that, Cotton, it's becoming a real up-and-coming industry on its own. It won't be too long before they get their own representative body if they haven't got one already.
I heard Tim Leeming, the Southern Victorian Sheep Breeder, mention on a panel the other day they had a nutritionist at one of these dry start forums that have been having around the traps, and she mentioned that Corn was a great source of Sheep Feed with some reasons why.

Tim said that within a week or two, the local Grain buyer had sourced 6000 tonnes for local Sheep Producers to feed out. I would love to know more about what sort of benefits it can bring, say, above Lupins or Beans. I am told one thing is that they find and consume every last Grain even if it's had some rain in it.
And I've worked out why; I found this on Google - "Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Goats, and other grazing animals can see colour but lack the full spectrum of vision available to most humans because they have only two colour receptors. They do not see red. They are most attuned to yellowish-green"…. That's why…. Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
