The good old Mailman - The Country Mailman is still alive and kicking, although many would be on reduced runs compared with the old days. I remember when they used to deliver the Mail and Newspapers to our Farm 5 days a week. Being a reader, I couldn't wait until lunchtime so I could read the papers. I remember our old Mailman, John "Noisy" Nisbet, a cheeky bugger he was.

I saw this Tweet this morning:

The Farmers Club - Check out my new side hustle - Dwain Duxson.

Now, how nice is that? I mean, it's just inspiring to think that someone would go out of their way to check on someone else's well-being. Hat's off to the Mailman.

As Farmers, we are super alert as to what's going on around us in a Farming sense, but sometimes, some of us miss a little on the people side of things. How do we train ourselves to become more alert like our Mailman friend? It's a great question to ask ourselves. Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
