Yarding - 65,560
Wagga agents went back to back with another massive winter yarding. It must be noted the numbers this winter are unprecedented at Wagga. It was a big field of winter buyers, with most buyers representing southern processors. Victorian domestic and export processors dominated the market, taking home no less than 80% of the lambs offered. Quality was quite good with each agent having big runs of grain assisted lambs. The market surged $15 t0 $28 with Victorian processors the market drivers.
In the trade market prices improved $8 to $15/head. The bulk of the 20 to 24kg making from $146 to $216/head to average 849c/kg cwt. Store buyers and feedlot action was limited. Lambs to feed or returning to the paddock ranged from $135 to $173/head. Merino lambs were keenly sought, with even the plainer types enticing processors. The better presented Merino trade types traded between $133 to $195. Heavy Merino lambs $222 to $258/head .

In The export sale prices lifted as more weight became available, with grain assisted lambs surging to new levels. Prices lifted $16 to $28 to average 837c/kg cwt. Lambs over the 30kg cwt sold from $260 to $305 averaging 837c/kg cwt.
It was more of the same dearer trends in the mutton sale, with prices surging head $15 to $32/head, with heavy sheep enjoying the bigger price rises. Heavy wethers sold at $167 to $174 averaging 486c/kg cwt. Heavy merino ewes made from $128 to $186 to average 433c/kg cwt. Trade sheep sold at $77 to $124head.
