Lamb supply increased slightly to 24,120 yarded, The quality was plain to very good, with shorn lambs presenting with good finish and lambs in wool presented with dryness in the skins and needing finish. Overall, there wasn’t a lot of weight offered across the yarding. All the usual buying group attended, and all were active in another strong market. Light trade sold firm to $8/head dearer, medium, and heavy trades were to $10/head stronger. Heavy export were in limited supply, sold $8 to $18/head better. Store buyer’s and specialist feeders from the Riverina, Wimmera and local areas were dominate today with lambs back to the paddock and to feed on selling firm to $8/head stronger in places. Lambs under 20kg sold from $85 to $176 and $175 to $208/head over 20kg cwt.

Light lambs under 18kg cwt to suit MK orders to the trade sold from $133 to $163/head. New season trade lambs 18 to 24kg sold from $160 to $216, heavy trade lambs 24 to 26kg sold from $206 to $238/head, with an average range of 830c to 870c/kg cwt. Export 4 score lambs over 26 to 30kg made from $228 to $250/head to average 815c to 850c/kg cwt. Shorn lambs were again in demand 18 to 22kg sold from $171 to $198, lambs 22 to 24kg made from $195 to $226, lambs 24 to 26kg sold from $214 to $233/head to average 860c to 900c/kg cwt. Lambs 26 to 30kg made from $234 to $276/head to average 850c to 880c/kg cwt.
