About Leonie
Leonie runs a business called Evofarm Agribusiness Solutions. Evofarm covers a wide range of Agricultural pursuits, including Grain procurement.
Leonie will be part of an interview panel between 11:30 and 12:30. Leonie's topic will be Grain.
What can we expect from the interview with Leonie?
This year's Crop was the most expensive Crop grown on record. We are lucky enough to get some pretty good Harvest prices. What can we expect for Grain prices for 2023?
The stars have aligned for Australian Grain Growers over the last couple of years on the back of some droughts in North & South America, Europe, etc, and then of course, the war in Ukraine. Is the world flush with Grain stocks right now, or are stocks low? Are we seeing a recovery from drought in those regions? Can we expect at least 12 months of reasonable prices here in Australia?
If you had no commitment to rotations, what are some of the things you be growing in 2023?
We have seen with the Sheep and Cattle markets that prices cannot sit in the 80-100 percentile range for any longer than 2 years. Will the Grains market be any different?
Are Growers better equipped to market their own Grain than ever before? Or are they still fully reliant on Grain Brokers? Has the role of the Grain Broker changed over the years?
Expenses are high in Cropping with ever-increasing Machinery prices, higher than average input costs and interest bills. What should Growers do to stay profitable with a higher cost base?
For the larger Grain Growers, it's very much a commodity market only. Do you see any paddock-to-plate setups that are starting to work with Grain?
