Some of the questions we want to fire at John might include:

  • You exited the Bulla Burra Collaborative Farming partnership; how long ago was that?
  • Where was it located, and what did you Farm?
  • When you started out, did you have an exit in mind? And if so, what did that look like?
  • Did your exit play out as though it would back at the start, or was it different?
  • What is the single biggest thing you need to get right to run a successful Collaborative Farming model?
  • What were some of the things you got right?
  • What didn't really work?
  • What bits from the collaborative Farming model should Family Farms adopt?
  • Would you consider the exercise an overall success?
  • Did you have a board or an outsider or two who you sought advice from?
  • Why don't Aussie Farmers use this collaborative model more?
  • With the cost of Machinery today. Should Farmers be looking more at sharing Machinery and Equipment?
  • What's stopping a group of, say, 3 or 4 young people from getting together to go collaborative Farming?
  • You are a director with ifarmwell. Tell us all about what they do?
