About Danny

Danny Thomas is a leading Rural Real Estate agent, arguably the best in the country. Danny has sold many high-profile and highly-priced properties in his time.

Danny will be part of a panel (9:45-10:30) talking about innovative ways to buy Land and how to fund it

What can we expect from the interview with Danny?

Has the price of Land levelled, gone down or up in any areas? What is in most demand at the moment, Grazing Land, Cropping Land, intensive, etc?

Where is the value, or are there any bargains out there? If Danny had 10 million dollars to spend on a Farm, where and what would it be?

We want to know more about corporate Agriculture. Have there been any increases or decreases in holdings over the last decade? What does the future hold for Corporate Farming in Australia? Is there anything significant on the horizon?

We all know the family Farm is the cornerstone of Australian Agriculture. Do family Farming operations have to get more sophisticated? Do they have to operate like a corporate?

If you were a young person looking to buy Land, how would you go about it?

Is Australian Land cheap still compared to the US and Europe?

Also, how Land ownership is structured in the US and Europe, where a lot of Land is owned by the wealthy and rented or leased to Farmers at a rate whereby they can make a margin, do you see Australian Agriculture heading this way? Do Landholders who rent or lease have to focus less on the rent return and rely more on the capital gain?

Do we have to have a change of mindset when purchasing Land, knowing that we might never fully pay for it, so is it more about the equity gains?
