About Cassidy
I'm a first-generation Rancher, advocate, speaker, and consultant who serves in the gap between the Farm and the table. The Agriculture industry can be difficult to navigate, so think of me as your proverbial agriculture tour guide and translator.
Cassidy will be speaking (via Zoom) from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Some of the questions we want to fire at Cassidy might include:
- Where do you live, and what is your role on the Ranch?
- What sort of Cattle are they running on the Ranch?
- How big (in acres) are some of these Ranches in your area?
- How high is it above sea level and give us a better understanding of what sort of conditions you have to endure?
- They tell me you need specific Genetics for the high altitudes. Is that right?
- You're a first-generation Ranch girl. How did you get into the Cattle industry, and what keeps you there?
- Janette Bernard wrote an article on Cow-Calf Rancing, and the takeaway I got was that it is a tough business to be in. Do you agree?
- Where is the Cattle industry sitting right now in the US, price-wise and numbers-wise?
- You're an advocate for getting people from outside Ag to come into Ag. How is that working, and what are some of the problems you face?
- Do you find Ranch owners are to busy to help young people wanting to get into Ag?
- What are some of the biggest hurdles facing Farmers and Ranchers right now?
- Is the typical Ranch owner in your area a hands-on one or absentee owner?
- What sort of modern tech are we seeing being introduced into the Cattle game?
- As a rule, are Ranchers financially savvy, or is it an area that needs work?
- Tell us about your consulting business and what are your goals for that?
- You're big on LinkedIn. What sort of audience numbers do you have, and what sort of topics do you like to tackle on that forum?
- Would you like to be involved in the Cattle industry from an advocacy point of view one day?
