Slightly cheaper at Bendigo

Yarding - 31,594

The numbers eased slightly to a total of 31,514 yarded, consisting of 21,840 lambs and 9,670 sheep. The quality of the new season lambs was very good, but there was less weight penned this week, and the lambs are drying off in their skins. Most of the usual buying group was present, and the market opened softer, with bidding fluctuating throughout the sale, ultimately ending slightly cheaper across the yarding.

Heavy lambs decreased by $5, while heavy trade lambs sold firm to $4 cheaper. Light and medium weights dropped by $5 per head. Restockers bought lambs for prices ranging from $70 to $173, while feeders made between $193 and $270 per head.
