Rifa Buys in Vic Mallee properties

Rifa Salutary, the Aussie arm of China's Zhejiang Rifa Holding Group has expanded its holding by purchasing "McNicholl's" and "Kulwin Park" near Wycheproof in Victorias famed Mallee area. The price for both properties was $9 million.

Rifa started it's Farm Land buying spree when it purchased Blackwood Station in Southern Vic and then added a group of properties South of Tamworth and followed up with the purchase of Coopacurrips Station in Northern NSW.

Rifa CEO David Goodfellow confirmed the purchase of the Wycheproof properties that boast 4500 ha collectively. They are property number 14 and 15 bought by the group.

Mr Goodfellow mentioned that he thought the district was undervalued compared to other areas and said the cost per kg of pasture produced is alot less as a comparison.

Predominantly known now as a cropping area, the purchase includes 3000 sheep and 300 steers as well as wheat, barley and canola crops which are looking pretty good.

Rifa's focus is predominantly livestock and has put together a 52,600 ha so far
