Lamb supply increased slightly to 12,146 yarded, quality was mixed ranging from plain to very good. Not all the usual buying group were present and not all active, buyers were very selective throughout the sale. Overall the market was $5 to $20/head softer across trade weights and heavy export lambs and to $30/head cheaper for light store and secondary lambs. Light trade lambs were to $20 cheaper, medium and heavy trade lambs were $9 to $13/head softer, but the very neat short skin lambs with good fat cover were still reaching to 800c/kg and over, as bidding intensified on the limited offering. Heavy export lambs were again in limited supply selling to a top of $263/head to be $20/head cheaper.

Store buyers were very quiet, lambs back to the paddock and to feed on made from $28 to $138/head. Light lambs under 18kg cwt to suit MK orders to the trade sold from $55 to $139/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg made from $125 to $178, lambs 22 to 24kg sold from $155 to $206, lambs 24 to 26kg made from $173 to $214/head to average 710c to 760c/kg cwt. Export lambs 26 to 30kg made from $174 to $226 to average 720c to 740c/kg and lambs over 30kg sold from $223 to $263/head with an average range of 705c/kg cwt.

Sheep numbers decreased to 3,900 the quality was mixed ranging from plain to good, not all buyers present were operating and competition was quite. Overall the market was again $10 to $25 softer across the yarding. Merino wethers made from $36 to $164 to average 530c to 570c/kg cwt. Heavy Merino ewes sold from $80 to $155, and heavy crossbred mutton made $138 to $221/head to average 500c to 550c/kg cwt.
