Price rise for water - $100-$120/ML

The temporary water price in the Southern Murray Darling basin has reached $100/ML.

The forecast of below average rainfall is fueling the market with prices currently fluctuating between that $100/ML mark and $120/ML.

However, the storages have more than enough water to supply this years irrigation season.

The scramble for temporary water comes from the more corporate customers who rely on buying what they need in the temporary market
