Fertiliser is a waiting game at the moment, with many growers still holding off on locking in their MAP/DAP requirements for March/April. The current price has been flattening, with many buyers still expecting a continued fall. It is reported that current domestic pricing is now below replacement costs which indicates now is a good time to be securing AP's.
Urea prices continue to fall, with current prices in the low $ 700's. With the current rebuy price in the mid $ 600's. Australia's pricing seems to be around the mark for now.
With previous reports of large supplies available, it has also been reported that there will be certain factors overseas that may see supply tight over the next few months.
It will be interesting to see how far the price will come down on Fertiliser and also where it needs to be for more growers to lock it in. Will we get back to pre-Covid pricing?
