This week we have seen most fertiliser prices stay firm at the same prices as the previous week. So, what is pushing the Urea price up? Last week the price came back to $630-$635 per tonne, and now back up to at least $675.00 depending on the supplier and port.
One of the main factors that have impacted this increase is the 2 million tonne tender by India that was reportedly confirmed this week has put pressure on the world market. Unfortunately, all price increases seem to hit the domestic market much sooner than any decreases.
There are also reports that the demand in the US and Canada has increased, with the drought in some areas starting to lift, putting pressure on supply.
With other factors in play, we expect to see the Urea price continue to rise.
We have access to some supply out of Geelong at $655.00 + GST and Newcastle and Brisbane $648.00 + GST per tonne. Please get in touch to secure your required amount.
