Wow. What a week it has been in Fertiliser... We anticipated that once the demand hit, it would all come at once.

There is a lot of conjecture out there on what is going on with pricing and availability. But let’s take a look at the facts. What we know for sure is the supply of MAP out of Adelaide and Portland is at capacity with most suppliers until mid-April at the earliest. Geelong is heading in the same direction, but with some available but only in smaller lots and on a case-by-case basis. Supply out of Newcastle and Brisbane seems to be easier to get a hold of, but this won’t last long. Price is creeping back up around $1100-1110 + GST per tonne.

The supply of DAP is ok at the moment, but with the MAP supply low, this may change very quickly.

Granulock Z is fully sold out, and we are unsure when stock will be replenished. We have access to the equivalent product Gain Z.

Single Super will also be an alternative for those that miss out on their MAP requirements, so if you were looking to secure SSP, now’s the time to do so.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out over the next couple of months.
