Last year was thought to be one of the most frustrating years in regards to the supply of Urea, with the hope that this year would be better. This isn’t so; the start of the year, Urea was sitting firm at $650.00 per tonne, with a start date of mid-Feb onwards. This not long changed to $680.00, then to $760.00 per tonne with an approximate start date of 22nd April. But in the last 24-48 hours, all quoting and estimated lead times have been put on hold. There is talk of some suppliers offering the high $700’s to low $800’s per tonne for March onwards but this is yet to be confirmed.

The only supplier that has stayed in the market throughout is IPL. 

With all of this in mind, we are already looking into a May/June/July collection period.

At the time of writing this report, here is what we have on offer for now.

• Urea ex Geelong/Newcastle/Brisbane – (Limited quantity available) - 1st – 23rd February, 2024 collection - $790.00 + GST per tonne
• Urea ex Geelong – late April – May, 2024- $770.00 + GST per tonne
• Urea ex Geelong and Brisbane – (Limited quantity available) – May/June, 2024 collection - $780.00 + GST per tonne

Each shipment is selling fast, we can help out with Glyphosate 450 and 540. We can arrange freight ex most major cities. We have access to all pre and post-emergent chemicals.
