If the latest Urea shortage has taught us anything, we need to start looking ahead. At least 3 months ahead. It is predicted that MAP and DAP are the next hot commodity and will be in high demand between now and Christmas.

At this stage, the only stock that will be available for Summer Crop is the leftovers from Winter Crop. So now is the time to think about what requirements you anticipate you will need and start to put a plan in place.

Even if it is just giving an indication on what may be required so we are able to keep an eye on the price and the availability.

The aim here is to avoid any surprises that may arise with summer crop input requirements. It is clear that Suppliers aren’t willing to pre-order without a commitment from Growers, so we need to try and do what we can to be ahead of the game.

Current MAP & DAP prices are approx. $1,020.00 + GST per tonne.
