Lamb supply increased to 33,700. The quality was mixed ranging from plain to very good. Not all the usual buying group attended, in a market that started softer to gain momentum as the sale progressed, but bidding was erratic throughout the sale, better quality lambs were in demand with a lot more plainer types yarded. Overall, the sale ended either side of firm across the yarding. Light trade sold firm, medium trade sold firm to $5/head stronger and heavy trade sold firm to $3/head dearer. Heavy export lambs sold to a top of $269, selling firm to $4/head cheaper, but not the weight offered this week.

Store buyers were active, but selective when bidding with lambs back to the paddock and to feed on sold from $44 to $185/head. Light lambs under 18kg cwt to suit MK orders to the trade sold from $98 to $158/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg made from $152 to $182, lambs 22 to 24kg sold from $172 to $202, lambs 24 to 26kg made from $188 to $215/head, with a wide range average of 770c to 820c/kg cwt. Export lambs 26 to 30kg made from $212 to $238 and over 30kg sold from $234 to $269/head with an average range of 720c to 775c/kg cwt.

Sheep numbers increased 8,700 yarded, quality was mixed ranging from plain to good. Not all buyers were present, but most were active in a strong market, Overall, the market was mostly firm to $5 dearer across the yarding. Heavy Merino wethers made from $170 to $200/head, to average 610c to 630c/kg cwt. Heavy Merino ewes sold from $170 to $179, to average 580c to 595c, and heavy crossbred mutton made $143 to $250/head, to average 550c to 580c/kg cwt.
