Leapfrog tech --- Leapfrogging technology is a term used when some form of technology flies past a more established form of technology to steal market share or provides a better solution to a particular problem.

A good example of this is how Starlink leapfrogged Sky Muster (NBN) with a satellite internet solution that is far superior. Every Farm should have Starlink. And I'm told Telstra need not worry about putting expensive phone towers up to service Rural areas because Starlink is rumoured to have a satellite solution for phones coming soon.

What's an example of leapfrog tech in Ag? It could be the paddock weighing system for Cattle called Optiweigh as opposed to the weighing systems we use in the yards. I understand that you might still need both, but having all that info on your phone without ever handling the Cattle is fantastic tech.

I guess online marketplaces for selling Farm "stuff" replacing Newspaper classifieds is a form of leapfrog tech. Ag technology is only useful to Farmers if it can provide a better way to do something. Until it's proven that it does, Farmers will ignore it.
