A smaller yarding with 5,900 lambs. Lambs with weight and good cover were in limited supply, the most part of the yarding plainer types in rough skins and lacking condition. Not all the usual buyers were present, and not all were fully active. Store lambs gained $10/head in places. Trade lambs sold firm to $5/head softer and the heavy lambs sold to a top $250 to be on average $10/head cheaper with very limited numbers offered. A few pens of new season lambs sold from $224 to $239/head averaging 890c/kg.

Store buyers paid $25 to $130/head for lamb to go back to the paddock and to feed on. Light trade lambs under 18kg sold from $67 to $87/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg sold from $126 to $185, lambs 22 to 26kg sold $190 to $217/head, with a wide range from 620 to 850c/kg. Heavy export lambs 26 to 30kg made from $230 to $250/head. Merino lambs made from $46 to $147/head. Hoggets sold from $48 to $150 for the crossbreds and $15 to $130/head for the Merino’s.

Mutton numbers dropped with 4,950 penned, Limited Merino wethers offered, selling from $15 to $130/head gaining to $10/head for the heavier weights. Light weight Merino Ewes made from $38 to $74, with a number of pens selling under $10/head. The heavier weights made from $82 to $148, selling $5 to $10/head stronger. Heavy crossbred mutton made from $100 to $164, gaining $8/head in places and the light weights made from $14 to $105/head.
