Growing up on the Farm - Some of us were lucky enough to grow up on the Farm. I'm biased, but I consider it a distinct advantage when growing up.
Just take a couple of minutes to think back (perhaps the thinking chair) at some of the things you remember about growing up on the Farm. Life was so uncomplicated then, and the only restrictions were your parents telling you not to do something. Luckily, they didn't see everything.
We used to live 17km from the Farm when we were growing up, and I remember kneeling on the bench seat (so I could see) of the Holden Ute with the old man driving and my younger brother Ben, who was standing up in the middle, no seat belts, of course. I remember there were always 2 working Dogs on the floor, and as soon as you yelled out "Fox", they would jump up barking madly, looking for the Fox to chase. Sometimes, we yelled "Fox" when there wasn't one there. And I remember the Dogs farting as well. I think that's why they travel in the back of the Utes now.
I could go on. There are hundreds of things I remember. But I am more interested in hearing from you and some of the things you remember. Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
